Teaching is a Well-Played Jazz Tune

A well-played jazz tune that is never played the same way twice. Great jazz can transform the moment. Teaching is the same way!

Pictures Below
Objective:
The participants learn a variety of tools and strategies that increases student engagement and learning .

Description of Workshop:
Participants get into the rhythm of learning new strategies and tools by actively experiencing the strategies themselves, all the while, learning about jazz. Understanding and knowing your content is only part of teaching. Having KNOW HOW of how to teach students how to learn new content is a different way of looking at teaching your content. To be able to have KNOW HOW, teachers need the right tools. This workshop is about experiencing those tools and strategies first hand, so when you leave, you will have a deeper understanding of how the tools and strategies work. It's "Hip to the Jive," "the Cat's Meow!" and a real "Humdinger!"
